Vodka Hookah

Well guys i am not going to into all the details of Hookah and origins and other aspects of it...just wanna tell you what else you can do to make your Hookah awesome when made with friends. First to know more about Hookah do read this

Also if you want to know how it looks and work check out the image *source wikipedia ofcourse

As you can see my heading Vodka Hookah and you would go and say what the hell...was in Lonavala for my Sister's b'day party got suggested of adding Vodka to the Water Jar and we did that gleefully. The vodka does gives you enough kick to enjoy the party.

Also instead of putting Water in water jar you can just put Vodka (Hookah on the rocks) but as spirit does finish very quickly you wont get more than 5 drags for a quarter but surely gives you an awesome high....

So next time do something different

Note: Use Magic Coal if you are making your own Hookah burns very fast and stays on for one...for 8 coals you get for Rs. 80

Shakhar Paratha - Sugar Paratha

Yes you read it right Sugar/Shakhar Paratha, this is one Paratha which I never say no when Mom ask for it and also it is less hassle for her coz she only has to make Sugar Paratha (Shakar Paratha)

Preparation of Shakhar Paratha/Sugar Paratha :

1. Knead the dough with 1/2 tablespoon oil and sufficient amount of water. The dough should be a little tougher than your average pizza dough.
2. Keep the dough aside for 1/2 an hour.
3. On your kitchen board, sprinkle a little dry flour. Make balls of the dough you had kneaded.
4. Roll one ball at a time into a circle and sprinkle sugar onto it
5. Fold the edges in wards like you do in a dumpling, ensuring that no filling is exposed.
6. Roll this dumpling so that it becomes a proper round again.
7. Very gently roll the ball in to a flat not to thin circle.
8. Heat a skillet to medium temperature. Grease it with oil, then cook both the sides of the Paratha, by flipping it over, so that the sides brown properly.
9. Your Shakhar Paratha is ready to eat.

You can eat it with Tomato Sauce.

Note this stuff can be very very hot from inside so eat it slowly

Paradise - Heavenly Food

Fifth Day of Ganesh Chaturti me and my friend Kaiwan decided on going to eat somewhere out as we left late from office. After contemplating of 100 of places we decided going to Paradise. Located near Strand Cinema if you walk/drive by too fast you will miss it.

We enter to an empty restaurant due to the fact that it was Visarjan day and people were scared to move out, place has some really awesome painting on the walls about Adam and Eve which we were laughing our ass out.

We started by ordering the Chicken Lolly which is a potato based and chicken filled inside it. Top it with a yellow mayo which you wont get anywhere else was super tasty. We had Roghan Chicken with it, the taste was like one made at home.

Then round 2 started where we had Chicken Cheese Roll, they did not mind putting a super hell lot of cheese in the food and we were happy a lot. Thinking we could have more we ordered Chicken Dhanshak and Chicken Pattie. We had so much we could barely walk and the total bill was Rs. 770 only without tax (management is going to introduce VAT from this week)

Colleague "we are planning to go to Raj Bhog in Khar."
Me "Unlimited Thaliwala place?"

After an hour we reach Raj Bhog in Khar West near the station.

The menu is placed outside the door, we enter a well lighted and not so spacious restaurant which has 2 floors the upper floor is smaller but i guess saturday and sunday's it will might be full. As we check the menu the plates comes in with 7 katoris.

We started by getting Tomato "Sweet" Soup, which could have being definitely be passed as just by having 2 spoons of it, I thought it would be better to wait for other options to come in.

Then after a while remaining stuff started pouring in.
1. Raj Bhog (a deep fried food with aloo filling)
2. Dhokala
3. Aloo Capsicum
4. Sweet Dal
5. Kadi
6. Spicy Dal (which was not spicy)

Village - Place for Large Group

I had always suggested my friends to go to Village as they have awesome appetite and they went 4 times before i went for the first time with my cousins. All kids were happy and chirping and they say they would enjoy the big place and play around.

We all drove to Kandivali Raghuleela Mall, and then walking through hoards of peoples and shops into a zig zag path reaching Village. As soon as you enter you feel like you have come to small small village with trees and brownish colour everywhere, which i think does not exist anywhere in India but we were here to have fun.

There were clothes and bags for display wuhich one could buy from and also there was a guy making pots, which i later came to know that you pay him and they will also teach you to make pot.

Enter the main restaurant you are greeted with hostess and host checking in your coupon and letting you in.

You find yourself a big Charpai (village style sitting) and settle in. First task is to go around and check whats on the menu which is almost the same most of the time. After roaming around which almost takes 5 - 7 mins and deciding on what you want to eat and in which order. Grab a plate and go to the counter and fill your plate.

Suggestion: Make sure you dont eat one thing alot coz you might miss out on few things.

So the menu card goes like this
1. Dosa
2. Bhel Puri
3. Idlis
4. Corn
5. Pav Bhaji
6. Golas.
7. Sugar Cane Juice
8. Punjabi Dishes
9. Gujju Dishes
10. Marwadi Dishes
11. Hell lots of sweets.

And then there are puppet performance where you can just leave your kid and you enjoy the food (thats what my cousins did). And live orchestra will play with dandiya and garba adding to the mix which makes it delightful to watch and play.

So if you are a couple make sure you dont go and if a big group of 10+ then give it a shot.

Again for Rs. 300+ VFM for fun and food.
