Hidden away in a quaint lane opposite Bagel Shop run by Aparna this place has the most awesomest burgers I have ever had for a long time...I used to slurrp on Hersheys burgers once upon a time. But these are super big burgers and light on your stomach you wont feel exhausted after having them.
Seats only around 16 max this place has Chess, UNO, Scrabble if you are in a group of 4 and you can enjoy your time while waiting for the burgers.
We had Chicken Gostana burger and Ginger Burger which cost Rs. 140 each with Wheat bread and you can also order multigrain bread (how cool is that). They do have Lamb and Fish burgers which were over for the day.
Like Subway they have Burger of the day which cost Rs. 75 and it is a super deal....next time i am going to try the Chicken Salad which looked awesome.
Go for it...right opposite Bagel Shop

New Martins
This is one place to go if you are really low on money but want some good non-veg food.
Location: Opposite Strand Cinema, Colaba
Timing: 12 pm to 3 pm
7 pm to 11 pm (note most of the items get over by that time)
Sunday Closed

This is a very small joint which would seat almost 20 people maximum and most of the time it is full. The place is not big on decor, just simple layout with menu card hanging on the wall (old school blackboard) which keeps on getting updated as and when items get over.
This is an authentic goan food place (as said by my Goan friend) where you get beef steaks, vindaloo and goan sausages and prices are not more than Rs. 75 each.
So if you have 1 pork vindaloo, 1 chicken vindaloo, 10 pao and 2 caramel custard bill would be around Rs. 160 which is not bad considering what you would pay for a good meal at other places.
Go hungry!!! and enjoy some delicious goan cuisine

Kerala House - Lunch
After the dinner experience me and K always wanted to check out the lunch. As in their hotel there was a photo which displayed that food were served in Banana Leaves and we always like south indian food that way.
We reach Kerala House during lunch time and we had to buy coupons when asked how much for 3 people...he calculated in his mind and said Rs. 120 (that becomes Rs. 40 for each person), and we added Chicken Fry to it which Rs. 60 for 2 pieces per plate.
We entered looking at peoples plate as we search for a place to sit. As we sit down the plates come in and after some waiting the rice starts its way towards us (though i am not fond of plain rice that much but i kind of made an exception for this). Few moments later see a bucket with Sambar in it and I gleefully let him pour the sambar in my plate. Then came our favorite part Chicken Fry so my combination was Rice, sambar and chicken.
After having double serving of rice...we almost fell sleepy....and with Rs. 100 for the whole meal it was just worth it.

FOND OF FOOD
Have being thinking of doing this for a very very long time but could not make my lazy ass and mid to start working on it.
Well as the blog name suggests it is that I am "FOND OF FOOD" and can enjoy it anywhere (my mum can vouch for it). If the place looks decent enough I might go in and have some of it if very hungry. Sometimes I do take care of my wallet so you would not find a hi-fi ultra expensive restaurant in my list but some will be bit expensive to the cheapest one which I go regularly.
I have a taste of both veg and non-veg but kinda avoid eating beef and pork (my limitations till now) but who knows I might even start that.
I also don't like to take photographs of what I eat (coz i don't carry a camera everywhere) so at times references might be copied.
Enjoy....
